Culture and Art Come to Yukon’s Main Street with 6×6 Art Show

A night of food, drink, art, and fun!

The 6×6 on Route 66 Art Show was held at the Homestead, a soon-to-be-open restaurant at 631 West Main Street.

The night included art viewing, wine tasting, and cheese sampling. With the purchase of tickets, participants were given a lottery assigned 6 in. by 6 in. work of art created by various local artists, a commemorative wine glass, and a wine and cheese tasting pass.

The event hosted a live artist, Becky Way. During the art show, Way created three works of art, which were then auctioned off to ticket holders. An exclusive “Elephant Blow Art Experience” (courtesy of the Oklahoma City Zoo) was also auctioned. The experience involves the lucky winner holding the canvas for an elephant artist. Live music from the jazz trio “DC3” kept the night lively and sophisticated. Overall, the night was one to remember.

The 6×6 on Route 66 Art Show was sponsored by Yukon’s Main Street, the Oklahoma City Zoo, Yukon’s Best, Zoo Friends, The Homestead, and Urban Oak.
