Gorgeous sunny day for Friday morning coffee at Molly Spencer Farm! Eddie McFadden led the Pledge of Allegiance, Craig Smith then opened in pray. Yukon City Manager, Jim Crosby welcomed the huge crowd.

John Leonard with Molly Spencer Farms invited everyone to The Chisholm Trail Festival tomorrow from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are so many attractions from The Wild West Show to gunfights to petting zoo and children’s crafts. This year they will feature the original food truck, Food Truck Evolution, multiple chuck wagons will offer many tasty delights.

Doug Sauder, along with two wranglers from Express Ranches and three horses, will also have his ponies out for everyone to enjoy tomorrow.

Dana Kinder, Old Republic Title invited everyone to their ribbon cutting June 7 after coffee. They will also have a big Open House on July 10, 4-6 pm, so put that on your calendar now.

Joann Riley with Compassionate Hands reminded everyone about the Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle, June 22, 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Yukon Masonic Lodge. She has tickets!

Vicki Davis, Yukon’s Main Street announced June 21 longest day Alzheimer’s walk down Main Street. Justine Mullinax, with the Oklahoma Alzheimer’s Association, asked the crowd to go to the website and sign up for the walk. For a $5 donation you will receive a purple t-shirt to promote mental health. Even if you don’t walk for Alzheimer’s, wear purple on June 21.

Wes McAtee, Fine Arts Auditorium said Yukon is know as the Chicken Capital of Oklahoma, but that name has now been eclipsed by the Dance Recital Capital of Oklahoma. The Auditorium will be hosting Dance Recitals most nights for the next several weeks.

Cheri Logan told us Spanish Cove is catering the Chamber Luncheon in June and they have really good cooks. She also said to start planning now for the New Teacher luncheon in August. All businesses can donate items to fill goody bags and the Chamber will do the work of filling the bags.
Larry Taylor invited everyone to Art Kastner’s retirement party this afternoon at Berkshire Hathaway. Art has been the managing broker for many years through at lease 4 different owners.

Eddie McFadden announced the 75th anniversary of D day at the Veteran’s Museum, June 6.
Next week’s coffee will be hosted by David Murphy, Keller Williams Realty, at Raywood Manor Clubhouse, 3421 Sagebrush Place. Go east on Lakeshore Drive to Raywood Manor on the south side and follow the signs.

Pam Shelton shared that she participated in reading veteran’s names at the ceremony last Monday at the Yukon Cemetery. She said it is a very moving event and everyone needs to be aware and attend.
