Thank you, Billy Bajema and crew at Pie 5 for hosting the Friday Coffee this morning! Super good!!

Tim Baer opened with prayer followed by the flag salute.

Billy commented he has three stores in the Oklahoma City area and Yukon is the closest community he has ever seen.

Huge, packed crowd. So fun to see so many people. Had at least six new folks this morning.

Tim Baer of Grace Church announced Comedy for Compassion, July 26, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Grace Church. OKC Improv will give a performance benefiting Compassionate Hands that night. Check with Grace Church or Compassionate Hands for more information.

Jenna Roberson reminded everyone of the BIG EVENT next week at Chisholm Trail Park. Freedom Fest kicks off at 5:00 the evening of July 3 with Tribute to Veterans. If you are a Yukon veteran, contact Yukon Parks and Rec and get your name on the list of vets that will be served in the food tent.

The 4th starts at 8:00 am with the Cherry Bomb Triathlon and many more events planned for the day. There’s a Car Show, Children’s Parade and so much more fun stuff. Two bands both nights, food trucks, free ice cream both nights and free watermelon on the 4th, there’s also a hot dog eating contest somewhere in there then a major fireworks program to close both evenings.

Linda Reynolds was embraced as the long-lost friend returning home this morning. She and Bob are back. Bob is working at Will Rogers for TSA and Linda is looking for a job. If you need a hard worker that can do any job, or if you know someone looking, call Linda. Welcome back Linda and Bob!!

Jan Scott promoted the Cherry Bomb Triathlon for kids 8 through 13, starts at 8:00 am on the 4th.

Homer Cobb invited everyone to check out Yukon Rotary. They meet at Integris every Tuesday at noon.

Sherry Poage asked everyone to join them for the United Way Bus Tour, July 19 at 9:00 am. Come see what United Way does for our communities.

Teresita Fabela with McDonalds gave fair warning that Main Street McDonalds will begin remodeling in August but, not to worry, the drive through will stay open.

Ramona Ritchey, Manna Pantry needs volunteers.

Ken Wilkins with Archery Traditions will again have a fundraiser for Youth and Family Services. Watch for dates.

Pam Shelton said the New Teacher luncheon will be August 5 and if you want to donate something for the goody bags, the Chamber needs 150 items.
