After prayer and the flag salute, Gayla Lutts welcomed the rather large crowd to the Canadian Valley Technology Center this morning. Their kitchen served a really nice selection of juice, coffee, pastries and fruit.

Rick Caccini announced the Bedlam Blood Drive, Tuesday, September 3, at the Mabel Fry Library, 1200 Lakeshore Drive. The Bloodmobile will be there from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Wait ‘til you see the shirts!

Andrea Griffith, Parks and Rec promoted all the events and activities planned by the city for the next few months. The new guide is available at all Parks and Rec locations.
D’Lynn McDaniel was excited about the first Beautiful Day celebration today at LES. Every child with a birthday this month will be celebrated. Next week they go to IES.
Ken Wilkins said there was an excellent turn out for the Youth and Family Services benefit shoot. Carol Clemmons said thank you to everyone that supported the event.
