Gateway Express Testing just celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Gate to Life Gala and Auction on November 7. The event featured a dinner, silent auction, prize drawings, and several special guests and speakers. We’ve been driving by the center on Main Street for years, but who exactly is Gateway Express Testing, and what do they do for our community?
Julia Seay, the Executive Director of Gateway Express Testing, describes it as “a resource to provide abundant life” to women and children that walk through their doors. In short, Gateway Express testing is a resource center and information hub for pregnancy and women’s wellness.
If a woman is in need of help in dealing with an unexpected pregnancy, Gateway Express Testing is an excellent resource. They offer a wide range of services such as free pregnancy testing, STI and STD testing, sonograms, and counseling. Gateway Express Testing can also point women in the direction of organizations that can help. Men are also welcome at Gateway Express Testing for necessary tests and counseling.
Other than the brick and mortar center on Main Street, Gateway Express Testing also has a mobile bus in order to take their services wherever they are needed. The bus is equipped for testing and sonograms and will be staffed with volunteers to provide ministry and counseling.
Gateway Express Testing has now provided services to hundreds of women and children since they began 10 years ago. If you want to donate to the center, ask questions, or to schedule an appointment, you can do so by calling (405) 354-4283, or you can visit their website at www.gatewaywomenscenter.com
