Wow! So good to be back together again for Friday Morning Coffee. Youth and Family Services hosted the large, happy crowd this morning.
Carol Plemmons with Youth and Family welcomed everyone. They had their 82nd adoption recently and are so excited about helping children and their families. They need foster families. Please reach out to them if you can help.
April Bow invited everyone to the Chamber Gala, January 31 at the Palace Event Center. Ask her about the Golden Ticket! This is going to be so fun!
Sherry Poage and Terry Martin teamed up to announce Mardi Gras on Main at the Dale Robertson Center on February 22. Lagniappe, “a little something extra.” Plan now to attend.
Chris West announced his campaign to continue as Canadian County Sheriff. He said he so honored to be our sheriff and would appreciate our vote.
Marie Hurst, Court Clerk and President of Historic Fort Reno also announced she will run for office as Court Clerk.
Yukon Parks and Rec will host their annual Daddy Daughter dance Saturday, January 25. Dance times for ages 4 thru 8 are 3:00 to 4:30 pm and 5:00 thru 6:30 pm. Ages 9-12 will dance between 7: and 8:30 pm. See any Parks and Rec location for information and tickets.
D’Lynne McDaniel happily pointed out the new t-shirts being sported by Yukon Public Schools employees. They earned “Best Work Place” for the 4th year in a row. They are also partnering with SWOSU to give students more opportunities for college credit.
